The LV PEAK Economic Barometer provides an analysis of Latvia's current macroeconomic data and practical recommendations for policymakers. It summarises future forecasts by Latvian and international institutions, as well as consensus forecasts from Latvia's macroeconomic experts on the country’s economic development prospects, influencing factors, and key risks and challenges.
The purpose of the Economic Barometer is to inform the public about economic development trends, with a particular focus on competitiveness and productivity. This is based on the results of the LV PEAK Expert Survey and the scientific findings of the Think Tank. The barometer is published twice a year—in June and December—and includes an analysis and forecasts of key economic indicators (GDP, labour market, inflation, productivity, labour costs, etc.), recommendations for improvements, an analysis of leading indicators, a review of forecasts by other institutions, and a Youth Sentiment Survey.
